As a physician and a single parent, I have great admiration for and appreciation of this excellent piece of children's literature. Teresa is a thoughtful, soulful person and this comes through strongly in her latest offering. Tackling a subject that is difficult in the best of times, she clearly and profundly delivers the message that children are by far the most important and most vulnerable entities in the divorce scenario, and that taking the high road is where parents want to travel. Congrats, Teresa, on a superb effort!

Seperation and divorce is a difficult time for families & everyone is affected... especially young children. Teresa does a great job building a story to help children cope with seperation & divorce. Well worth having in your library, to gift to those you know who are going through this of to keep to teach your own children to better understand the difficulties their friends might be going through.
Buy a couple of copies - donate one to a school or library & keep the other for your reference.
This book is beautiful in every way. As an adult and a person who's parents are divorced; I wished I would have had this book when I was a child to let me know that it wasn't my fault and that talking about my feelings is a good thing.
Teresa and her children are positive examples of how divorce can be OK with a refreshingly open and honest communication approach!

I had the pleasure of reading this book when I met the author Teresa de Grosbois at a seminar on uncovering your passion and teaching others how to uncover their's. Only someone who is passionate about our children and providing them with the tools they need to grow up strong, self-confident and with profound self-love could have written such a spot-on book.

I know what I am going to buy all the little ones on my holiday list who are facing the challenges of divorcing parents - as well as all the little ones who need to understand why their friends have two bedrooms.
This book shows great sensitivity. Teresa poetically answers those questions that when left unanswered, weigh heavy on a child's mind. The book provides comfort and guidance, not only for the child, but for parents as well. It's an enjoyable read that offers positive direction in coping with family separation and the mixture of emotions it can bring.
One of the most traumatic life experiences for a young child can be a family separation. It is often a time of great confusion and uncertainty for both the child and the parent(s). As a former school counselor and family therapist, I have been fascinated to learn why some children successfully make it through life's difficult challenges and adversities and not only survive, but go on to thrive, while other children are less resilient. When a family experiences separation, parents must utilize a number of resiliency building strategies that will assist their child to cope effectively with the changes taking place and be able to bounce back. Teresa's wonderful new book, Jolo's Two Bedrooms, is beautifully written and illustrated. The real life examples found in this book can be used by the parent with their child to gently open discussion regarding the family separation, which will help the child begin exploring and sharing his/her own thoughts and feelings. I most highly recommend this book to all parents of young children who may be experiencing separation or divorce. This book would also be an excellent resource for child counselors and family therapists.
Brilliantly beautifully fabulously touching! I can't think of enough words to describe how wonderful this book is. Teresa de Grosbois is a one of a kind author, an author who will ROCK our generation out of complacency and apathy, and bring forth an entire new generation of loving and balanced beings. I kid you not. Her words have the power to bring forth the soul. Children love her books, she has a way of writing that children come back to again and again and again.
This book is critical for every child to read. Those who have been through a parental separation will benefit enormously from the lessons and advice gently offered in this book. Teresa has a way of allowing her love to flow right through the pages and into the reader. Even children who have not been through a parental separation should read this book, because it will offer them a perspective on what so much of society is going through.
To you want your children to grow up to be loving, responsible, happy beings? Get all of Teresa's books, and read them to your children many times. She has done half the work for you -)
